Rate alerts
Mortgage rate alerts
Pick a rate and a target. We'll email you when our published rate reaches it, or each time it changes.
How it works
How rate alerts work
Alerts are free. You'll only hear from us when the rate you picked moves.
- 1
Pick a rate and confirm
Choose the term, and either a target rate or any change. We'll email you a link. Your alert starts when you click it.
- 2
We check once a day
After we publish each day's rates, we compare your alert with the new rate for that product.
- 3
You get one email per move
Each email shows the rate, its APR, the term and the date it was published. Unsubscribe with one click from any of them.

When a rate hold or pre-approval works better than an alert
If any of these describes you, one of the options below will do more for you than an alert.
Your mortgage renews in the next 4 months
The date to watch is 120 days before maturity, when a rate hold becomes available to you. A hold protects you if rates rise and still lets you take a lower rate if they fall. An alert can’t do either. Renewal rates today.
You have an accepted offer
Get a rate hold instead. It locks today’s rate for up to 120 days while you close. Of the two, only a hold protects your closing date. Get a rate quote in 2 minutes.
You’re not sure you’d qualify at that rate
An advertised rate only helps if you can be approved at it. Find out where you stand first. Pre-approval uses a soft credit check, which doesn’t change anything on your file. Get pre-approved.
Rates shown are current as of September 21, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. MT and are subject to change without notice. Rates are available on approved credit (O.A.C.) only, are subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable lender, and may vary based on your credit history, income, down payment or equity, loan-to-value, property type and location, occupancy, amortization, and whether the mortgage is insured, insurable or uninsured.
Annual percentage rates (APR) shown assume a mortgage amount of $500,000, an amortization of 25 years with monthly payments, and include no lender or brokerage fees. Fixed rates are compounded semi-annually, not in advance, as required under section 6 of the federal Interest Act; variable rates are compounded monthly. Payment figures exclude property taxes, heating, condominium fees and default insurance premiums unless stated. Insured rates require mortgage default insurance and are available only on qualifying transactions.
Rates may contain errors or omissions and do not constitute an offer of credit, a rate hold or a pre-approval. Not all applicants will qualify. The form opens on our current 5-year fixed rate of 4.09% (4.14% APR). An alert is a notification, not an offer, a rate hold or a commitment to lend. The rate available to you when it triggers depends on your file and the lender’s criteria at that time.
